
Early Intensive Behavioural Intervention

School is not an easy place for children with ASD who often have a difficult time, both socially and academically. With limited resources in the school system, Shadow Support is usually needed to enable the child to be an active member of the learning environment in his or her classroom.
Since 2001 ISADD has been providing School Integration & Shadow Support services, as well as consultations and training to numerous mainstream and private schools in Singapore.
The reasons behind ISADD’s continuing success in mainstream integration is found in our philosophy in developing the child holistically (see graph below), and our expertise in equipping the child for upcoming demands and challenges in the school setting, both socially and academically. If needed, a home based program targeting specific areas with which the child has difficulties at can be implemented to provide further support.
ISADD’s School Integration & Shadow Support teachers are highly trained in the area of social skills development, in particular in teaching school essential social skills and fostering interaction between the child and their peers. ISADD’s shadow teachers are also well versed in the academic curriculum of both the local and international schools in Singapore.
