Friendship Group & Playdate are peer groups designed to strengthen the social interaction and communication skills of children, teens, and young adults with autism spectrum disorders. Teaching social skills to individuals with autism is an area of treatment that is continuously evolving.
The vision of ISADD’s Friendship Group and Play dates is to equip the child with the necessary skills needed to engage and nurture meaningful relationships, to provide a platform where target skills from ISADD intervention programs can be generalize, to facilitate genuine friendship amongst the participants, hence creating a sense of acceptance and belonging to give their self image and confidence a huge boost in their natural environment.
